Microsoft has just celebrated it’s 2012 MVP Summit. Every year nearly 1,400 Microsoft MVPs gather in Seattle in a week-long event to get first hand information on Microsoft developer and IT news. It’s also a good way for MVP’s from all over the world to to get together, hang out and, by the way, do some networking. Moreover, the event is endorsed by the computer giant and it’s the way the company has of saying “thank you” to all its MVP awardees.
Well, this year Alessandro del Sole (author and tutor of our 70-511 TS exam cert prep course) has been awarded 2011 Microsoft MVP of the year in his category (Visual Basic) for the third consecutive year. He has also held this honor in 2009 and 2010. The MVP of the year prize is awarded by fellow MVP peers belonging to the same Microsoft technology category.
Alessandro del Sole has been a Microsoft Visual Basic MVP for the last several years. He is the community leader for the Italian ‘Visual Basic Tips & Tricks’ user group which is the family for more than 42.000 VB developers. Also, he co-founded the Italian ‘WPF Tips & Tricks’ and ‘LightSwitch Tips & Tricks’ UGs.
He is a frequent contributor to the Visual Basic Developer Center on MSDN and also regularly speaks at technical events on Microsoft technologies. He’s the author of two English books about programming and many technical articles, webcasts and instructional videos. He has written several well known free developer tools.
At campusMVP.Net we are very proud of Alessandro del Sole and it is an honor for us to have him among our certification course instructors. Congratulations Alessandro from everyone at the campusMVP.Net staff!
